Rabbits keeping

A small unit was built for rabbit experiment. Rabbits although not yet popular in Cambodia , they are simple to keep and can provide source of protein for rural farmers. In the outbreak of AI, poultry researchers have been shifted to rabbits. A total of 15 rabbits is kept for breeding purpose. The wild rabbits are consumed by people in the rural area and they like the meat and therefore the colour of the rabbits is probably the matter of preference for selection as meat. The wild rabbits are generally mixed of colours and therefore crossbreeding is an issue for research.
