Collaboration and partnership

CelAgrid has collaborated with:
ü     Khon Kaen and Chang Mai universities in Thailand;
ü    
Universities of Hue, Cantho and University of Agriculture and Forestry (UAF) in Vietnam;
ü    
National Agriculture and Forestry Research Institute of Laos (NAFRI)
ü     Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) through research cooperation for livestock-based sustainable agriculture in the lower Mekong basin (MEKARN) (see http://www.mekarn.org).

International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI)

In addition, CelAgrid has the collaboration with NGOs such as the Farmer Livelihood Development (FLD), United Methodist Centre (UMC), Sunshine House funded by Awareness Cambodia and 14 NGOs partners to Heifer International- Cambodia. Although, University of Tropical Agriculture Foundation (UTAF) has moved to Colombia since 2002, it is still main CelAgrid partner organization.

Although no official collaboration from the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA), Prek Leap National School of Agriculture (PNSA), Kampong Cham National School of Agriculture (KCNSA), Moharosi Verdic University (MVU), and the Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC), CelAgrid has been accepted, with the official letters of request and acknowledgement from these institutions, students to carry out their research work and practical experiences.

CelAgrid also provides services including trainings to numbers of NGOs and projects such as Agricultural Productivity Improvement Project (MAFF/DAHP/APIP, Smallholders Livestock Production Project (MAFF/EU/SLPP), CCRD, CEDAC, Helen Keller, Cambodian Australian Agricultural Extension Project (MAFF/DAE/AusAid/CAAEP) and America Soybean Association. It has very important the support from the German Embassy in Phnom Penh for the building of the meeting room and office at the Eco-Farm in Prah Theat village, Rolous commune, Kandal Stung district, Kandal province at the start of the establishment of CelAgrid while Mekarn project supported the construction of the laboratory, Lab equipment and chemicals.

Donors

CelAgrid has received financial support from the Swedish International Development Authority-Swedish Agency for Research Cooperation (Sida-SAREC), AusAid/ACIAR through Cambodian Agricultural Research Fund (CARF), IFS, CIAT for research activities and farm demonstration.

Heifer International – Cambodia and CIDA/Food Security Initiative Fund (FSIF) are so far the mayor donors for community development although other small community projects have been supported by NZAID and FAO Telefood project.
